Economic Stimulus: Coming to a state near you?

Here's a pretty comprehensive write-up of the President-elect's economic stimulus plan, "The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan."

Likewise, this is the House proposal in Congress right now. We're still digesting all the details, but the bottom line is that these plans, however they evolve, make a strong case that states should NOT be enacting budget cuts right now – before they know how much federal money they are going to get.

In other words, in Colorado, we don't want to cut something off that can't grow back, when we might be getting a needed tourniquet.
